About Ghaiyyath x Shemiyla
We were always going to be interested in a sister to LAKOTA SIOUX our Group 3 Sweet Solera winner, but it was very much eyes wide open as we viewed her. She had to match up physically, have a good walk and a similar attitude to Lakota and thankfully she ticked all the boxes. Mark Johnston said, ‘she looks every inch a racehorse’ and consequently we set out to try and buy her.
At 58,000 she was at the top end of our budget but if you look at the incredible Aga Khan pedigree with big black type spread all over her page, we realised she was yet again well bought. SHEMIYLA her Group 3 winning Dam continues to produce winners. She is now 7/7 with winners to running progeny including 2 Group winners. The residual value for fillies out of this family is, as we know from our subsequent sale of Lakota Sioux, very high.
She will be trained by Charlie Johnston who trained her sister for us at Park Farm Middleham. To view her pedigree click here.
